Micro Limit switches are a simple but effective solution to stop an axis on a machine from travelling out of limits. They are also used to find a home position, also known as a datum.They are mechanically operated with terminals: common (C), normally open (NO), and normally closed (NC).You would typically connect the ground pin on your controller’s limit switch input to the C terminal, and the signal pin to either NO or NC.Signal to NC in most situations is preferred because if any of the wires are broken, it will be classed as triggered by the controller. In addition to the micro limit switch, this kit includes the hardware to mount a micro limit switch in a range of orientations to aluminium extrusion with a 6mm slot.
