It is a bound and coopered painted steam bent wooden jug with original ”Rosemaling” decoration.These traditional staved and painted folk art designs were made in Norway for centuries although this one probably in the late 1800s. Not many of them have survived, so it really is something rare and beautiful. Thus one is in good condition, although the inside is possible dirty as I have not attempted to clean it. Just cleaned dust off the outside.This antique jug showcases a vibrant multi-color palette of flowers and has kept all it’s richness of colour.
